Cabina is an AI styling app that helps you build outfits from the wardrobe you already own. We take privacy seriously — most of your personal data never leaves your device. This page explains what we collect, what we don't, and how to reach us.

How your photos are handled

• Your closet photos — every photo you upload of clothing is processed transiently via Google's Gemini API (see next section) for background cleanup and classification. The photos themselves are never permanently stored on our servers; only the derived metadata (item type, color, classifications) is stored, and that storage is local to your device.
• Your selfies and try-on images — selfies you upload for the styling pipeline are processed transiently via Gemini and are not persisted to our servers.
• Your style preferences, outfit history, and wishlist — stored in a local database on your device. These never leave your phone.

What we process via third-party AI

To classify garments and generate styling output, photos you upload are sent transiently to Google's Gemini API. Google processes the image to produce structured metadata and styling responses, then Cabina stores only the metadata locally on your device. Google's processing is governed by their privacy policy.

Anonymous usage statistics

Once per week when you open the app, Cabina sends a small, anonymous summary to our server. This summary contains things like which style archetypes you've voted on (liked, passed, or never shown), how many items are in your closet, and how often you've used certain features. Each summary is identified only by a random ID that expires within 24 hours.

We use this anonymous data to:

• Understand which styles and features are popular across our user base.
• Share aggregate audience information with fashion brands — for example, “a particular style currently has 23,000 likers among our users” — never individual data.
• Improve the app's recommendations and curation.

The summary contains no information that can identify you, your device, or your network: no name, email, device ID, advertising identifier, or IP address (our server does not log IP addresses). Because of this, in Apple's App Privacy nutrition label this falls under “Data Not Linked to You.”

Affiliate shopping links

When you tap a Shop button on a clothing item, we may direct you to a retailer such as Amazon through an affiliate link. If you make a purchase, the retailer may pay us a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The first time you tap such a link in the app, we show you a brief disclosure to that effect.

Cabina is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. We do not share any information about you with affiliate retailers; tapping a Shop button opens the retailer's website directly, and that retailer's own privacy policy applies once you arrive there.

What we don't collect

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your photos to train any AI model.
• We do not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
• We do not request your contacts, microphone, or precise location.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Account & purchase data

If you create an account or purchase a subscription, we store the minimum required information (account identifier, subscription state) with our backend. Purchases are processed via Apple's App Store or Google Play; we do not see your payment details.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app's Settings screen. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
